Psychotherapist

Your 20s & 30s are often filled with exciting milestones, but can include painful change too. Whether you are undergoing a major life transition, coming out, or starting over, entering a new chapter can bring up all kinds of confusing and contradictory feelings. In my practice, therapy is a place to uncover these feelings slowly and in your own words, without being told what conclusion to reach. I do not just listen and quietly nod (although sometimes I do!) - I view therapy as a dialogue where I am an active participant. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe and supported in putting your feelings into words. I aim to identify patterns and gently challenge, too, when necessary. Beyond life transitions, I also specialize in supporting those in their 20s or 30s through the unique challenges of grieving a loved one or leaving a religious community. I specialize in religious trauma, grief & bereavement, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, and LGBTQIA+ issues. My work is rooted in psychodynamic therapy and incorporates CBT & DBT skills according to each client's needs.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I hope that clients will walk away with a deeper understanding of themselves, improved confidence, and the skills necessary to deepen their relationships outside of psychotherapy. I hold a Masters degree (MA) from the City College of New York in Mental Health Counseling and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State & New Jersey. I completed one additional year of postgraduate training in interpersonal psychoanalysis at the William Alanson White Institute in New York City. I have been in private practice since 2022, when I first received my license in New York.
