“As soon as we met Jocelyn, we could immediately tell she had such good energy. It was very easy to feel comfortable with her. As a queer and neurodivergent couple, we felt very safe to share during therapy without any fear of judgment. She was also great with follow up questions and picking up on cues, uncovering things we weren’t even conscious of. Highly recommend. ”

Getting to know Jocelyn Ricks

I am a CBT/Person-Centered therapist who is committed to helping adults, teens, and children through their growth journey. I have worked with individuals, families, couples, and groups of all ages, supporting clients through concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, identity exploration, and life transitions. I worked for three years with at-risk youth and their families. My role was to help families increase positive communication and create positive family structures. I have a passion for working with teens and families, but I enjoy working with individuals with relational concerns.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I approach therapy with empathy, curiosity, and respect for each client’s unique story. I am committed to creating a safe, welcoming space where clients feel supported and understood. I believe every person has a unique story and I tailor treatment to honor each individual’s experiences and goals. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward healing and growth. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our initial sessions, we will start to explore what brought the client to therapy and establishing therapeutic goals and creating a treatment plan. Once we establish goals for treatment, we will start to dive deeper into what brought you into therapy. I will follow your lead while providing any guidance that you prefer.
