Psychotherapist
AZ
Hi there! My name is Jordanna. I'm a licensed counselor with almost two decades of experience working with folks from all walks of life. I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona and my Master's in Counseling from Arizona State University Tempe Campus. I am the founder of TRSAZ and truly believe in the transformative power of therapy. I was born and raised on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico and am an enrolled Tribal member. As a counselor, one of my greatest joys is hearing how life has improved during and after a course of therapy. As an Indigenous woman, I deeply value access to care, so our practice accepts multiple insurances and strives to ensure you can get the care you need in a timely manner. I practice via telehealth, which enables us to reach folks in rural, Tribal, and underserved areas.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with adults virtually in the State of Arizona. You might feel lost, weighed down by trauma, grief, or the struggles that come with navigating life’s challenges. Maybe you’ve faced loss, substance abuse, or felt the sting of disconnection. You may be seeking peace, healing, and a way to reconnect with your joy. Your journey matters, and your healing is possible. I'm here to walk alongside you as you rediscover your strength and reclaim your life. I offer a safe, at times humorous, and caring space-where we can work through the difficulties together. Using EMDR and Trauma Informed Therapy (such as CPT), I will help you process the past, regain your inner strengths and find healing. You don’t have to carry this burden alone. If you’re ready to take that step toward healing—or if you just need someone to truly hear you—TRSAZ is here. Together, we’ll work to create a path that honors your story and brings you closer to the peace you deserve. Let’s begin this journey when you’re ready.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session with me starts with connection. I ask you how things have been since I saw you or if this is our first time meeting, I spent time to learn about you, your experiences, and how you came to seek therapy. I work with you to identify goals and we do screening tools to ensure you are getting the maximum benefit from our work together. I practice talk therapy, EMDR therapy and other trauma resolution therapies. I believe in collaboration and education as a means to learn, grow and connect.
