“I've been seeing Joseph Ege as my therapist for several years at this point, and I'm so grateful to have processed through so much with his assistance, guidance, and wisdom. Joseph is attentive, supportive, and gives so much affirming care focused on my personal needs. In retrospect, I could not be the confident and sociable person I am today without the support and guidance from someone like Joseph. I especially appreciate the ability to work through challenging subjects such as addiction, drug abuse, and past traumatic events, while also learning set boundaries for myself and with loved ones. Joseph's experience working with members of the LGTBTQ+ community is also extremely helpful in establishing a connection to shared challenges and knowing that I'm not the only one with challenges. I recommend anyone struggling with their own challenges, self-confidence, shame, guilt or other emotional challenges to consider working with Joseph.”

I use a flexible yet practical counseling style that includes evidence-based methods, including CBT and DBT, through a psychoanalytic lens, that will be based on your needs and preference. Together we will identify and remove the obstacles that may be preventing you from progressing and being the person you want to be.

I’m sure you are currently feeling what I felt when I was “cold calling” new therapists, hesitant, wary, exhausted. It can be daunting. In a relatively short time Joe has proven to be stunningly helpful in a proactive and dynamic manner. I’m reaping the benefits from insights I’ve never considered.
I’ve been seeing Joe for 2 years now and would highly recommend him. He is an excellent therapist. He is great to work with, easy going, and helps you work through everything from daily life to the largest challenges. He is also very accommodating for people with busy schedules.

I have never looked forward to seeing a therapist however with Mr. Ege I actually do look forward to our sessions as each week I feel progress. Because of Mr. Ege's help I'm starting to look at things differently haven't felt this hopeful in a while, I would highly recommend him.
I have been working with Joe for over a year. I was new to therapy but quickly learned the value he could bring to me both mentally and physically through weekly sessions. I would not be where I am today with out him. Thank you!
I was between jobs and going through some rough times when I first saw Joe. Talking with Joe helped me focus and think a bit clearer. I still see one from time to time.
Joe is an excellent therapist. He is a great listener who makes insightful observations that have resulted in my growth, clearer thinking and healing. I highly recommend him.
Very professional and caring therapist. I have to say I was not sure what to expect but I did know I could use help. I am very glad I was referred to him.

It took me a long time to finally go for therapy. I’m so glad I found Joe. He was able to work with me and help me sift through all of my stuff to get to the meaningful parts quite quickly. He is insightful, caring, intelligent and patient.
Mr. Ege’s demeanor and insights really allowed me to focus and work through some issues I was struggling with. Highly recommend him!
Working with Joe has been very helpful and enjoyable. I feel like there's a nice balance of listening as well as offering feedback. Joe has helped me work through various topics and issues that I've presented, helping me to see other perspectives and giving me ideas for new ways to cope. I recommend him!
I've been meeting with Joseph Ege for a little over 6 months, and it's been an absolutely wonderful experience. I was nervous about starting therapy at the start of the year, and had previously had a therapist who was not well-versed in talking about LGBTQ+ issues. I decided to seek out a therapist who specialized in that area, and Joseph been great at helping me make sense of my emotions during a stressful time in my life. I always feel at-ease during our sessions, even when talking about difficult or "embarrassing" subjects. I would recommend him to anyone, especially those feeling nervous/anxious about starting therapy.
I got a lot out of the session. Mr Ege made me feel immediately comfortable and seemed open to listening to my issues while making constructive suggestions through out the session. He also seemed to absorb everything I discussed without any judgements which made me more comfortable and allowed me to be much more open than I had been in past therapy sessions
I am very happy to have found Joe available to work with me this past year. I believe him to be a therapist with excellent listening skills, a kind and compassionate demeanor, and a broad understanding of the tools available in navigating difficult times.
Mr ege made me feel Immediately comfortable. I felt safe in discussing my issues and couldn’t discern any judgements which helped me to more forthcoming during the session. He listened and offered suggestions and insights throughout the session which I appreciated
Joe is a great therapist. I was hesitant about starting with a new therapist but Joe made me feel comfortable and heard from the start. I'm a few months in and feel like I'm making good progress on what I came to work on. I highly recommend him.
I've been a patient of Joseph Ege's for close to 4 years now. He's extremely kind, thoughtful, respectful, and supportive. He's helped me a great deal in my life and continues to help me work through difficult issues. He always makes sure that I feel comfortable in sessions. He's very punctual, let's me know in advance if he needs to reschedule and is flexible whenever I need to reschedule. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking therapy.
I've been seeing Joe for quite a while now and I really feel like I've gotten a lot out of the therapy. He creates a safe space for me to explore my feelings and is supportive of the belief structures I hold that are beneficial to me, while still encouraging me to explore outside my comfort zone. It helps that he and I come from similar circumstances and lived experience, but his practical common sense and pragmatism will benefit anyone looking to enter therapy
Big fan of Joe Ege. He was very attentive, had several amazing recommendations, great point of views, very empathetic and a great support to me while I was in crisis. I needed someone who had knowledge about addiction and ways to minimize anxiety and depression and he fit the bill. I am in a much better place in my life and learned how to use the tools we worked on in therapy to keep me in the right frame of mind. I highly recomend him to anyone battling with these issues.
I have been seeing Dr Ege for 4 years now and can confidently say he has helped me through some of the lowest points in my life. He is patient and professional, would definitely recommend!
I've worked with Joe for 2 years and we've done good work together. I came to therapy feeling depressed and uninspired. I had difficulty with my family and I couldn’t connect with people. We worked together to treat some of the depression symptoms which improved my mood. We specifically focused on challenges I had with my parents growing up and it really shifted the needle for me. I was able to find some forgiveness for them and move on. Joe really helped me. He is a compassionate therapist that cares about my wellbeing.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to talk with Joe. His ease and soft spoken manner is just what I needed. He listened closely but did not make me feel like I was being judged. I look forward to my appointment every week.
Mr Ege has been an excellent therapist. I have worked with him for over three years and I have had great success in my personal life. He is compassionate, caring and has strong intuitive nature that has benefited me greatly. I highly recommend his services.
