“Josh is wonderful! I was going through a particularly tough time in my life, and frankly didn’t expect much from therapy. “What could someone tell me about me that I haven’t already thought of?” I asked. But that was missing the point. Josh was a steady, reliable presence—always supportive, never judgmental. He wasn’t just a sounding board, either. If he thought there was something I would benefit from hearing, he’d tell me, and I did. I can’t recommend Josh highly enough, but perhaps the best I can say is that I don’t have sessions with him anymore, and I’m doing just fine. Thank you, Josh.”

I have seen Josh during two different periods of my life, and he has been instrumental in helping me process and progress through both. Always on time, never cancels and just has such a good spirit and calming presence. Anyone who has Josh on their side should consider themselves lucky.
In our first session, Josh compared the practice of therapy to the practice of stretching. It requires regular commitment, and progress can only be made incrementally without injury. Via these telehealth sessions, Josh has literally watched my sons grow, and has helped me take my on baby steps right alongside them. If not for his compassion, kindness, and sagacity, I would still be trapped by my own thinking. Instead, I have a place with Josh to sort the chaos and I have learned to better understand (and trust) my own strength and flexibility. Seriously, thanks doc.
Josh is an outstanding therapist! I've been working with him for years and it has made a substantive improvement in my mental health, and by extension, other parts of my life as well. I really appreciate his friendly demeanor, non-judgmental approach, willingness to listen, and also gentle encouragement to try new things or challenge myself to approach situations in a unique way that I may have previously not thought of. I highly recommend him for CBT!
Josh Borgelt has been one of the greatest factors in helping me turn my life around. I was in an incredibly rough spot when I first started seeing him, and truly felt like there was no hope in ever having a happy life. A year into seeing him consistently, I could barely recognize the person I was before. He helped me uncover traumatic wounds that I had no idea existed, always listened and responded without judgement, and gave me the courage to open up about things that I had unknowingly carried inside for years. Josh genuinely cares about his patients, and truly wants to help. I am so incredibly grateful that I had him in my corner when I was at my absolute lowest. I have had many therapists and counselors over the years, but none have helped me in the ways Josh has. I am thankful for the time I've worked with Josh and cannot recommend him enough <3
Josh has become a valuable member of what I call my pit crew, which is the team of people in my life who help me on this journey. Our conversations have ranged from basic check-ins to multi-session deep dives, and what I appreciate most is his consistency. When he shows up, he shows up. If something comes up in his life and he doesn't think he can give the session his full attention, he reschedules (and that's only happened once). I respect that level of care and dedication. Josh creates space for honest conversations without making them feel forced. He listens, asks thoughtful questions, and knows when to challenge me to look at something differently. I don't leave every session with everything figured out, but I almost always leave with something worth thinking about, and over time those conversations have helped me better understand myself and how I want to move through life.
Josh has helped me grow so much within the last 3 month let alone a year. His ability to be flexible with his schedule and providing the best practical advice that feels so relatable and personal.
Josh has been one of the most important people in my journey. When I first started working with him, I felt completely empty. Today, I have one of the fullest, happiest, and most fulfilling lives I’ve ever had, and I truly don’t think I could have gotten here without him. He helped me through a devastating rare disease when I genuinely thought I was going to die, and then helped me navigate the survivor’s guilt and emotional aftermath when I lived. He has also helped me cope with my ear disorder, the loss of my beloved dog, and so many of life’s difficult moments. Josh has always been there with compassion, insight, and the right perspective when I needed it most. He didn’t just help me survive some of the hardest years of my life—he helped me put myself back together and learn how to truly live again. I will forever be grateful to him and cannot recommend him highly enough.
Hands down the best therapist I’ve ever come across, & I’m a psych NP. I can’t say enough good things, Josh has helped me more than I thought possible
I have greatly appreciated the calm, tender approach that Josh has shown me in my therapy with him. I feel like he treats me like a human not an object. He always has a smile on his face when he starts the session and he has given me a lot of continuing advice and friendly support. He is a very nice person.
I have been seeing Mr.Borgelt for a while now. I couldn’t be more please with him as a therapist. When first starting my sessions, I was a bit apprehensive about speaking to an outsider about my feelings and problems. Being raised in a reserved conservative house, it was expected that you keep things out of public eye and within the confines of the house. So taking a leap of faith and speaking to an outsider was something I was not totally comfortable with. Josh made the uneasiness fade away and I was able open up with him without the feeling I was breaking some unwritten family rule or being judged. His willingness to listen, soft approach of initiating conversation, encouragement to step outside my normal behavior and overwhelming caring demeanor is why I am where I am in my journey today. My dark days began to erode and were replaced by brighter futures. Presently I am doing what I refer to as a maintenance check up with him. I can’t thank Josh enough for the service he provides.
Josh is the most understanding and thoughtful therapist. I have never felt so heard and so safe to be open. He is amazing and anyone who is lucky enough to work with him will also be greatly appreciative. I have lived a very hard life and through it all Josh always made me feel safe and not judged. His compassion and understanding of complex trauma and the aftermath of it is a great comfort. He takes everything I say with thought and gently asks questions and gives another way to think of things. Josh was instramental in my continuation of life. I cannot even explain how nervous I was to start therapy and I don't think I would have gotten the help I needed if I hadn't found Josh
Josh has helped me in so many ways imaginable, I have been through two breakups that really hurt me mentally and made me feel like the world was going to end, but Josh coached me through those breakups and helped me see different ways about it that answered so many questions. Not only that, he coached me through a very very toxic relationship. Josh has taught me so many things about myself that I never knew and where I would never know without his guidance because I am very stubborn. He was very patient with me during my year and a half toxic relationship, the answer was always to breakup, but I kept going with it, and he stayed with me the whole way. Its crazy to think about this a year or two later and know he was there for me every step of the way. I don’t know what I would of done without his support, I highly recommend Josh.
Therapy has been difficult for me in the past because I take a very long time to feel comfortable enough to really open up to somebody. Josh had a way of making me feel relaxed about the process right from the start. I was able to talk about some things that I've ever even discussed with my closest friend, and the entire time Josh was insightful and never once made me feel judged. He has a natural way of creating a safe space.
Josh is professional and relatable, simply said. He creates an environment to where I am comfortable to share and learn things about myself I wouldn't learn elsewhere. He is incredible at identifying my emotions and then regurgitating them back to me in a way that help me grow. I am beyond grateful that I was lucky enough to stumble upon Josh's services. If I would have known that my therapist experience was going to be so positive, I would have started appointments much earlier.
It took me a few tries with other therapists before I met Josh. I felt pretty solid with our first interaction and decided to pursue working together. We're nearly a year and half working together. I can say therapy has been great for me in lots of aspects of my life and Josh hels me get through the things I bring to the table. If anyone needs someone who is kind and very able to help Josh is your person.
