Josh Mann, LPCC

Psychotherapist
CO
Hello, and welcome! I'm Josh Mann, LPCC, and I believe that meaningful change begins with a deeper understanding of ourselves - our values, emotions, relationships, and goals. I work with individuals navigating life transitions, personal growth, relationship challenges, and difficult decisions, helping them gain clarity and move forward with greater confidence and self-compassion. My approach is influenced by Compassionate Communication, a framework developed by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg that helps people better understand their emotions, communicate effectively, resolve conflict, and reduce self-criticism. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen self-awareness, and build more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others. I earned my Master's degree in Buddhism-Informed Contemplative Counseling from Naropa University. In addition to my clinical work, I bring over 20 years of experience working in education, outdoor recreation, and social services with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I view therapy as a collaborative process. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to help you better understand yourself, identify what matters most to you, and make choices that align with your values. I believe that every person has unique strengths and wisdom, and I work to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported. Clients often appreciate my calm, thoughtful, and compassionate approach. Whether you're facing a difficult decision, navigating a life transition, struggling with relationships, or simply wanting to know yourself more deeply, I will meet you where you are and work alongside you at a pace that feels comfortable.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first few sessions focus on getting to know one another and developing a shared understanding of what brings you to therapy. Together, we'll explore your goals, challenges, strengths, values, and the experiences that have shaped your life. This helps us create a foundation for meaningful and effective work. As therapy progresses, I tailor our work to your individual needs and goals. Sessions may involve exploring emotions, identifying patterns, developing communication skills, clarifying values, strengthening self-compassion, or working through specific challenges and decisions. Throughout the process, I prioritize curiosity, collaboration, and practical insights that can help you create lasting change both in and outside of therapy.
