If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’re looking for support, guidance, or maybe just a space to catch your breath. I want you to know that you’re in the right place. With a background in psychology, social work, and business, I combine a deep understanding of human behavior with a practical approach to creating meaningful change. Over the years, I’ve worked in community mental health, private practice, public schools, universities, and government settings. With over a decade of experience in the military, I am uniquely attuned to the challenges faced by service members and their families. I earned my Master of Social Work from Florida State University and my Master of Business Administration from George Washington University. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Social Work at the University of Kentucky. I am licensed to practice in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, and Texas. Outside of therapy, I’m a husband, a dad, and someone who understands how messy life can get. I believe in the power of connection, and I’m here to remind you that you don’t have to navigate this journey alone.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Next step: You'll receive an email from SimplePractice to complete required Intake forms. I know how hard it can be to carry the wounds of the past while trying to build a life that feels whole and fulfilling. My goal is to walk alongside you, offering a safe, judgment-free space where you can heal, grow, and move forward at your own pace. As a therapist, I bring more than just education and experience to the table. I bring compassion, understanding, and the belief that no matter where you’ve been, your story isn’t over. Together, we’ll work through the challenges, celebrate the victories, and find clarity in the chaos.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your needs. In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other — I’ll ask questions about what brings you to therapy, your personal history, and your goals. From there, we’ll work together to build a treatment plan that feels right for you. In ongoing sessions, you can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where we explore patterns, identify triggers, and practice tools for emotional regulation, communication, and personal growth. I may incorporate evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, or mindfulness depending on your needs and preferences. You’re the expert on your life — I’m here to help you connect the dots, strengthen insight, and feel more in control of your emotions and decisions.
