I can help you find a way forward and offer you the tools to tap into the inner strength you already possess. I believe in approaching therapy from a warm, genuine, and validating perspective and often use humor to help my clients get “unstuck” from unhelpful thinking patterns. My job is to be your mirror, reflecting the infinite wisdom that is already within you. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Radford University and a Bachelor's degree from George Mason University, which have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you on your journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I utilize a variety of approaches, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance, and Mindfulness-Based, to help my clients increase awareness and gain a deeper insight into the sources of their anxiety and depression.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I’m so glad you’ve taken the time to invest in yourself. What a courageous and empowering thing to do. Suppose this is your first time venturing into the world of therapy. In that case, I am here as a non-judgmental resource to help you identify the things you value most and help you weave those values into your daily life so you can once again begin living the life you want.

Judith is a top-notch professional and counselor. She leads with a caring approach, and made me feel safe and open to sharing and engaging in productive conversations right off the bat. She is technically knowledgeable, and significantly helped me improve my mental health during our sessions together. I’ve had such a positive experience that Judith and I have worked with her for two additional 8-week periods after my initial working period. I couldn’t give a stronger recommendation for Judith. She is truly wonderful!
When sessions end, I feel thoughtful, accepted, and empowered to make the shifts I need to make to feel my best or be on the right path to addressing scenarios better in my daily life. During the sessions I feel a mixture of warmth and encouragement to kindly acknowledge and accept myself and my thoughts, while also receiving direct and specific feedback on maneuvering more difficult concepts and feelings. I look forward to every conversation- even the more emotionally intense discussions on topics I struggle with - knowing I'll depart with the tools to be nicer to myself, more actively approach life's peaks and valleys with less emotional difficulty, or at the least be okay knowing that I can do even a step better tomorrow.
