Psychotherapist
1777 S Bellaire St, 165, Denver, CO
My interest in psychology began early—friends and family often came to me for support, and I was naturally drawn to listening and understanding people’s inner worlds. Still, my path into therapy wasn’t a straight line. As a young adult, I faced significant challenges with substances. Through a committed journey in a 12-step recovery program, I experienced a profound transformation—one that helped me reconnect with myself and move toward a healthier, more intentional life. During that period of growth, I also discovered a deep love for running and cycling, eventually completing multiple marathons. Those endurance pursuits strengthened my belief in perseverance, discipline, and the possibility of lasting change. Inspired by my own evolution, I pursued a career in psychology with the hope of helping others experience meaningful breakthroughs of their own. Over the past 25+ years, I’ve worked in wilderness therapy programs, residential treatment settings, and mental health organizations, supporting individuals through significant life transitions and healing work.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me is a collaborative, supportive process grounded in respect, honesty, and compassion. I draw from evidence-based approaches like DBT and Relational Life Therapy while also respecting the influence of family-of-origin experiences and earlier emotional wounds. Therapy with me is both practical and reflective: we focus on developing skills you can apply in daily life while gaining deeper insight into yourself and your patterns. You don’t need to be in crisis to work with me—many clients seek more clarity, peace, or self-understanding. If you’re open, curious, and willing to engage, we can work together toward meaningful and lasting change.
