Getting to know Julie Ackerman

UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. After any stressful or distressing event-such as being diagnosed with a chronic illness, losing a loved one, or going through a divorce-life as we know it changes instantly. The life we once knew, or dreamed about, is suddenly shattered, which can leave us feeling anxious, depressed, angry, or downright hopeless. Although we may find ourselves on a new life journey, who says this new path can't be a path worth walking down? If we can accept this possibility, then we open the door for hope and a new reality that can hold space for both sorrow and joy, anxiety and peace. You CAN learn how to live more fully EVEN in the midst of pain, chaos, or change, so why not start today? Now is the time. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of North Carolina and a Bachelor's degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the complexities of life transitions and strengthened my commitment to supporting others through their own journeys.
