“I’ve been working with Karen for over 2 years now with both personal and professional aspects of my life. I was seeking therapy to manage the professional stress and pressure caused within the corporate setting. As I transitioned into a new role in my career, I struggled with finding work-life balance as a mom, wife and leader. As I think back to the last two years of my life, there have been several twists and turns - some big and some small. Karen has been able to adapt her modalities to help me navigate different issues. She has been a key influence to being able to ultimately find work-life balance and be successful - both at work and home. Thank you Karen! ”

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is based on you, your personality, needs and goals. This is not a one stop shop. I tailor each session to what is happening with you. I do have tools and modalities that I engage with regularly such as EMDR and CBT, but I tailor my integrative approach to you. My style is direct and engaging. I am here to listen and engage.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our initial session, I will take time to learn your story and what you are looking for. I will equip you with some tools and thoughts right away leaving you with a new perspective. As we continue, we will continue to explore why you are thinking and feeling the way you are currently, what we need to understand from your past, utilize my integrative approach to therapy to break you free from what is keeping you stuck, and work towards being fully present in your present. I do utilize EMDR when it is appropriate for a client and they are on board. I also offer intensive sessions for those people who are looking to dive in fast. These are 1 or 2 days for multiple hours on end catapulting your healing process.

I’ve been working with Karen for over 2 years now with both personal and professional aspects of my life.
I was recommended Karen by a friend and was grateful for it. I had allowed my past experiences/trauma to control my decision making and perceptions of the world and was on a path that, in my heart, I knew I needed help getting off of. With a hands on approach, Karen worked with me and I found strength/trust in myself through those sessions. Ultimately, these sessions helped me find my peace and taught me many healthy ways to protect it. She works at your pace but, if you feel up for it, can provide techniques that allow for a more streamlined experience and offers a safe space for that vulnerability! Therapy changed my life and if you’re thinking of starting here, it’s a sound decision.
Karen was so helpful to me during a very difficult season in my life. She encouraged me to be authentic and feel good about myself again. I have sought counseling for years and have had several therapists. For the first time I truly felt heard and understood. Her guidance and professionalism was consistent and so valuable. I really appreciated the ease of teletherapy (first time for me) which allowed me to stay in the comfort of my own space.
Karen saw me through a time in my life I never thought I would see. She is down to earth, compassionate and relatable. All things I needed then and continue to look back on and pull from. She is easy to talk with and truly is someone I am thankful to have in my corner.
Absolutely professional in every way, but no lack of being personable and human which I really respected. Karen had a unique way to get to the heart Of my struggles in such a constructive and helpful way that I struggled to find elsewhere. She wasn’t just there to listen, but she was there to get behind my personal journey and push me further than I thought I could go. I really can’t recommend her work enough; the tools and skills learned from our sessions have now become permanent exercises and routines in my everyday life.
Karen is incredibly professional while being very relatable. She was really able to get me to do some serious self reflection and never hesitated to call me out when needed. I can’t speak any higher of Karen and her work.
Karen was super easy to talk to. I was extremely comfortable opening up about what was going on in my life. Highly recommend!
