I have 5 years in crisis mental health of all ages, over a year in the education system and over a year in medical social work, working with individuals with chronic and terminal illnesses. I primarily work with those under 40 or those with a terminal or chronic illnesses. I specialize in working with individuals with mood disorders, personality disorders, and concerns with suicidal ideation. I am a very laid back therapist, expressing your self is encouraged and I provide a judgment free zone where you can be your authentic self. I use several techniques within my practice such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, systems theory, motivational interviewing and crisis intervention. I help guide my clients to their goals using different techniques to better manage their symptoms.
