What should a new client know about working with you?

I value the mind-body connection and believe we can find healing when we approach our health from a holistic perspective. Counseling requires a lot of effort and can only be truly transformative if you show up as yourself. I will show up as mine and that may include laughing, maybe some crying, and definitely some hard conversations. I am passionate about helping people adjust to parenting or other life transitions, and those with anxiety and self-esteem issues. My role is to listen, ask questions, guide, and challenge you to shape your own path. Let's dig in!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Counseling is a process. I will start with an intake session to learn about you, your past, your present, and your goals for therapy. After the intake session, we can get started addressing your goals. The therapeutic relationship is extremely important so I will check in periodically to ensure we are aligned and that you feel comfortable with our sessions and my approach. Sometimes, things can get worse before they get better, which is always a risk with starting therapy. I will be there to support you through the journey.
