Getting to know Katherine Illgen

I am a graduate of Salisbury University where I obtained my MSW. While there, I interned at Meritus Medical Center in the Emergency Services and Inpatient Behavioral Health departments. I had a second internship at the Martinsburg VA in the Health Maintenance Program helping homeless veterans receive mental and somatic healthcare, and secure housing prior to leaving the inpatient program. I have worked as a mobile treatment case manager providing in-home care to individuals with severe mental health concerns. I have also been in a supervisory role in the Therapeutic Day Treatment program which provided in-school mental health services to students. My passion however is outpatient therapy. I have provided services through community mental health agencies in Maryland and Virginia before opening Manifest Wellness Counseling, LLC. I am currently offering Adult (21+) ADHD/Autism Assessments only. I am licensed in Florida and Virginia

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am currently offering telehealth Clinical Evaluations for Adult (21+) ADHD and Autism. I am licensed in Florida and Virginia. The Evaluations are 3 hours long which can be broken up between multiple sessions and include a 30-minute post evaluation meeting to review results, a clinical document that can be used for medication management, school accommodations, and other ADA accommodations, and turn around time is 10 business days.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The evaluation can be completed in one, two, or three sessions based on tolerance and comfort level. I utilize the Cherry Adult Autism/ADHD Assessment Tool.
