Getting to know Katherine Rose

I offer compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy via secure video sessions through Headway for individuals seeking support with addiction and mood related challenges. I aim to provide a safe, secure environment that empowers individuals to make meaningful change at their own pace. Using a combination of Motivational Interviewing, Rational Emotive Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy, I help clients explore their personal values, strengthen motivation, build positive coping skills that create lasting change. Together, we will explore your goals and values, identify patterns that hold you back and develop practical strategies for emotional balance and recovery. What should a new client know about working with you?

When we work together, you can expect a supportive, respectful and collaborative space where your voice and experiences guide the process. My role is to help you clarify what matters most to you, understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop tools to move towards the changes you want to see in yourself and your life. Using Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I'll help you explore your readiness for change, build self-awareness, and strengthen practical coping skills to managing emotions, cravings and mood in a positive way. We'll work at your pace - there's no judgement, just curiosity and encouragement. Because sessions are offered through secure video on Headway, you can access care in a setting that feels safe and convenient for you. Together, we'll focus on progress that feels both meaningful and sustainable, helping you build recovery and emotional balance.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together begins with understanding you - your story, your goals and the changes hope to make. In our first few sessions, we'll talk about what brings you to therapy and identify the areas you'd like to focus on most. I use this time to get to know your strengths, challenges and values so we can create a treatment plan that feels both realistic and meaningful. From there, we'll collaborate to set clear, achievable goals. Using Motivational Interviewing, we'll explore your motivation and readiness for change in a supportive, nonjudgmental way. Through Cognitive Behavioral therapy, you'll learn practical tools to identify unhelpful thought patterns, manage emotions and build healthier coping strategies. Throughout our sessions, I check in regularly about what's working for you and what might need to shift. Therapy is a partnership that brings structure, guidance and evidenced based techniques, while you bring your experience, insight, and commitment to growth. My goal is to help you make steady, sustainable progress toward a life that feels more balanced, confident and aligned with your values. All sessions are offered on secure video, allowing you to access care conveniently and confidently from your own home or space.
