Sometimes depression can look like staying in bed, avoiding friends or family, or struggling to shower or enjoy activities you usually love. Sometimes anxiety can look like days of not leaving your house or panic in your chest before you fully wake up for the day. The wounds we experience leave a mark on our minds and our bodies, which can be difficult to ignore or 'just think positive thoughts' to make them disappear, and this can make therapy feel like yet another task on your never-ending to-do list. I am passionate about meeting people where they're at by creating an individualized and holistic approach to treatment. I integrate skills-based and person-centered strategies to help you reach your goals, all through a trauma-informed lens. You are the expert in your life, and I'm just here to help you along the way using your strengths and giving you guidance to get you there. I hold an MA and am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Addictions Counselor, and nationally board-certified counselor (NCC). My specialties include working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, life transitions/stress, anger management, and ADHD. In my spare time, you might find me hiking with my dog Louie, bingeing Netflix, eating a crunchy snack, or getting outside.
