“kat is AMAZING. I feel so heard and validated and look forward to seeing her every week. She's great at what she does. She feels like a combination of mother, best friend, cheerleader, and performance coach. She helped me figure out how to feel less overwhelmed with life and i feel like i can talk with myself and to others about what is going on for me. i've gotten 2 promotions, finally committed to a relationship, and most importantly, i just feel happier, more in control, and more aware of who i am and why i do things. ”

“I have never had a therapist that has made me feel as safe, seen, and as cared for as Kat. She is incredibly warm, deeply intelligent, and has a grounding presence that immediately puts you at ease. Over the past few years, she has helped me through every major transition in my life. Kat has guided me through healing from toxic relationships and has helped me find my voice. She’s supported me through anxiety, depression, and cPTSD, and has helped me work through creative and financial blockages. With compassion and honesty, she’s helped me gently untangle over two decades of trauma. Her EMDR sessions have been extremely healing. I’ve been able to reprocess painful memories in a safe, supportive space, and it has genuinely changed how my mind and body respond to them. I leave every session feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded. She has made me feel more compassion for myself. Kat has been a steady source of support, even during times when I felt like no one else was there.”

Getting to know Katherine Vollono

Kat earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, City University of New York. She has over a decade of experience working with clients.. Kat has also been featured in major media sources such as Bustle, The Zoe Report, and Scary Mommy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

With over a decade of experience supporting individuals through anxiety and major life transitions, I use an integrative approach that includes talk therapy, EMDR, and parts work. Together, we’ll uncover what’s driving your overwhelm, quiet your inner critic, and help you build more balance, confidence, and ease — both at home and at work. I believe therapy should feel grounding, honest, and real. I bring warmth, humor, and compassion into every session (and sometimes my French Bulldog, Mac, too). If you’re ready to feel more like yourself again — calm, capable, and deeply supported — let’s connect.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to therapy draws from many evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Mindfulness based therapies, Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
