You’re trying to get back to normal but find yourself stuck, and nothing feels familiar Your old ways of coping aren’t working, and things feel impossible You feel off-balance, and it’s getting harder to keep up with your own life You’ve tried to accept how things are and push through this new normal, but you’re feeling distant, discouraged, and worried you’re failing Maybe you’re even angry It looks so easy for everyone around you Now, you want to know where to go from here As the maternal mental health specialist at the practice, I work with women struggling with perinatal and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, including postpartum obsessive-compulsive disorder I support those experiencing postpartum anxiety and depression due to feelings of being physically and emotionally overwhelmed that last beyond two to three weeks and interfere with everyday living I also have nearly 15 years of experience supporting women through life’s transitions, including recovering from addiction, coping with anxiety and depression, dealing with loss, and navigating women’s life changes I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Insight-Oriented Psychodynamic Therapy to create a safe space where you can say things out loud that you haven’t been able to say anywhere else Experiencing infertility and pregnancy loss is an overwhelming and isolating experience Feelings of grief can be intense, especially when others don’t understand your frustration and hopelessness Even changes we planned for and looked forward to impact us deeply I hold a Master’s in Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree from New York University, which have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you through these challenges If you’re struggling and ready to find your way through with a renewed sense of yourself, it is possible Together, we can work through whatever you’re experiencing We can help you feel confident and connected back to yourself by building new skills and experiences.
