What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to know that I approach each client with compassion, respect, and a genuine desire to help you feel heard and supported. From the moment we begin working together, my focus is on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be your authentic self—free from expectations or pressure. As a therapist and a military spouse of over 15 years, I bring not only professional experience but personal understanding of how life transitions, chronic stress, and emotional challenges can affect our well-being. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, trauma, parenting stress, or the pressures of military life, I’m here to walk alongside you—helping you make sense of what you’re experiencing and working with you to build a path toward healing and stability. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. These approaches allow us to develop practical tools you can use in everyday life, while also exploring the deeper emotional patterns that may be holding you back. You don’t have to have it all figured out before starting therapy. Many of my clients come to me unsure of where to begin, and that’s completely okay. I will meet you where you are, honor your story, and help guide you at your own pace. Our work will be collaborative, focused on your goals, and grounded in empathy. If you're ready to take that first step, I’m ready to support you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Sessions are conversational, collaborative, and focused on your goals. In our first meeting, we’ll discuss your concerns, history, and what you hope to achieve. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan using trauma-informed, strengths-based methods. Each session provides space for reflection, learning coping skills, and practicing real-life strategies that build resilience and balance.
