Getting to know Keely Owens

I am an outpatient therapist, but I have found that talk - even when combined with medications - has its limits. I specialize in combining talk therapy with non-verbal interventions that are designed to engage a different part of your brain, accessing the cognitive patterns that perpetuate anxiety, depression, and attention impairment. Specifically, I work with psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, nature immersion, sand tray, and self-designed ceremony. This method is particularly effective for persisting stress- and trauma-based symptoms. I am a practicing LCPC in the state of Maryland and my licensure in West Virginia is pending. I have an additional Masters in Transpersonal Ecopsychology from Naropa University, and I am enrolled in Cohort 5 of Integrative Psychiatry Institute's official Certificate in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
