Life can feel overwhelming when you are carrying the weight of anxiety, trauma, stress, burnout, or major life transitions while trying to manage work, relationships, family responsibilities, and the expectations you place on yourself. Over time, constantly pushing through can leave you feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected, and unsure of how to move forward. You do not have to navigate those challenges alone. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) providing virtual therapy services throughout Virginia. I specialize in supporting women who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, burnout, overwhelm, ADHD, stress management, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Many of the individuals I work with are high functioning on the outside while silently managing emotional exhaustion, constant worry, self doubt, difficulty setting boundaries, and the pressure of trying to be everything for everyone. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe enough to be honest about what you are experiencing without fear of judgment. My goal is to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where you can better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns while learning practical tools that help you regain a sense of balance and control. I work with clients to identify unhealthy patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress and help them develop healthier coping strategies that create lasting change. Healing is not about becoming a different person. It is about understanding yourself more deeply, strengthening the parts of you that have been neglected, and learning how to move through life with greater confidence and emotional well being. If you are ready to begin prioritizing yourself and taking steps toward healing, growth, and balance, I would be honored to support you throughout that process.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When working with me, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental, and collaborative therapeutic experience. I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, especially when discussing personal experiences, emotional pain, trauma, or challenges that may feel difficult to share with others. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are without feeling pressured to have everything figured out. I believe that therapy works best when there is trust, honesty, and a strong therapeutic relationship. I take time to understand your individual experiences, personal history, strengths, challenges, and goals before determining the best path forward. Every person experiences life differently, so I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to treatment. Instead, I tailor therapy based on your unique needs and what will best support your growth. Clients often work with me because they are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, anxious, stuck in unhealthy patterns, struggling with unresolved trauma, or finding it difficult to balance the demands of daily life. Together, we will explore the underlying factors contributing to those challenges while identifying healthier ways to cope, communicate, and navigate difficult situations. You can expect me to challenge you when needed while also providing empathy, encouragement, and support throughout the process. Therapy is a partnership, and my role is to help guide you toward greater self-awareness, confidence, emotional stability, and meaningful long term change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My therapeutic process begins with creating a strong foundation built on trust, understanding, and open communication. During our first few sessions, I focus on learning more about your current concerns, personal experiences, emotional challenges, past experiences, relationship patterns, and the specific goals you hope to achieve through therapy. This helps us build a treatment plan that reflects your individual needs and priorities. As we begin working together, we identify patterns in thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and past experiences that may be contributing to feelings of anxiety, emotional distress, burnout, relationship difficulties, or difficulty coping with everyday life. I help clients increase self-awareness by understanding how past experiences, internal beliefs, and current stressors influence the way they think, feel, and respond to challenges. Throughout treatment, I utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness based interventions, strengths-based approaches, emotional regulation strategies, and practical coping skill development. Together, we focus on identifying unhelpful thought patterns, improving emotional regulation, strengthening boundaries, building healthier coping strategies, and creating realistic goals that support long-term growth. Therapy is an active and collaborative process. My goal is not simply to help clients feel better temporarily but to help them develop the tools, confidence, and self awareness necessary to continue navigating life more effectively long after therapy ends. I believe lasting change happens when insight is paired with intentional action, and I work closely with clients to help them build both.
