Hello, I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's in Social Work from Clark Atlanta University and have been practicing as a therapist for over twenty years. Prior to joining Wellnite Health, I served in the U.S. Military as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Commissioned Officer. After retiring from the military, I began my second career with the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My practice areas include working with clients experiencing a broad range of mental health issues, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship/marital and family problems, work-related stress, and those interested in improving self-esteem, health and lifestyle, and quality of life. My approach to online counseling is grounded in the belief that we are each trying to do our best given our genetics, family training, and current circumstances. However, we tend to get stuck in certain emotional, thought, and behavioral patterns. To help with this stuckness, I utilize a combination of evidence-based treatments, including Humanistic and Cognitive Therapies. All of this occurs within a safe online counseling environment, creating a trusting relationship that we will build over time. Please know that I am committed to providing you with quality care and protecting your privacy. I will do my best to help you achieve the goals that brought you to Wellnite.
