Getting to know Kellie Mann

I came to this work long before grad school through survival, self-reflection, and a deep need for real connection in a world full of masks. As a queer, Black, nonbinary person raised in a rural environment, I know what it’s like to feel unseen or told to shrink. My practice centers on those labeled “too much” or who never had a safe space to be their full selves. Therapy with me isn’t about perfection, it’s about presence. I offer a space where you don’t have to perform healing to be worthy of it. You get to show up real, complex, and held.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with queer, trans, and nonbinary clients, folks navigating identity fatigue, shame, or trauma, and parents trying to break harmful cycles. I also support those who’ve been harmed by systems, misread by therapists, or left behind by traditional care. Here, you don’t have to shrink yourself. You get to take up space.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach blends trauma-informed therapy, inner child work, identity-affirming care, and play-based healing. I lead with transparency, humor, and humility, not hierarchy. I don’t ask anything of my clients that I haven’t done myself. This is your space to be seen, feel safe, and build healing that actually fits your life.
