I am a Mental Health therapist with over 13 years in the Social Work and mental health field. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I have extensive experience providing crisis intervention services in the community and have been in private practice for 3+ years, specializing in treating anxiety in adults and couples therapy with a particular focus on navigating difficulties related to uncoupling and divorce/separation. I have training in CBT, DBT, and am currently completing the requirements for certification in the Gottman Method for couples therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer a future-oriented, strengths based approach to the work that I do with my clients. I prefer an integrative style for implementing treatment techniques, but often draw from CBT for treating anxiety the Gottman Method for providing couples therapy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I will offer a 15-minute phone consultation as an opportunity to learn more about my services, my treatment approach, and to determine if I will be a good fit for a potential client. If a client decides to schedule an initial intake session, I will schedule based on the client’s scheduling preferences and will allow for 60 minutes to complete a full bio-psycho-social assessment which helps me in developing a clear understanding of the present challenges and goals for therapy. Clients should expect a collaborative approach to treatment planning.
