Getting to know Kimberly Burton

I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 10 years providing talk therapy to mental health clients in need. I earned a Masters in Counseling as a Marriage, Child & Family Theralist from the University of Phoenix. I've worked in many different clinical settings since 2011 but have worked in the Service field since 2002 in the Foster Care Unit reunifying families with the Department of Human Services. IMy clinical experience comes with compassion, and empathy along with support and assisting those willing to make a positive difference in their lives. I am passionate and empathetic with understanding of interpersonal familial relationships. I have experience leading clients through substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. I have worked with homeless, youth, Veterans with PTSD, incarcerated population, women specialties including domestic violence populations and sex addictions and I am nationally certified in Domestic Violence. I help bring families and couples closer together through therapeutic work and help to have fulfilling relationships. I believe everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through life's difficulties. I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space, to work side by side to overcome traumas and barriers. I believe everyones story matters and I am fully committed to listen and offer my best professional practices to help you.
