VA
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Richmond, VA. I began my social work career in 2018, specializing in participatory action research aimed at addressing youth homelessness in the Richmond and Tri-Cities areas of Virginia. I continue to engage in this work and have had my findings published in research journals, as well as presented at local, national, and federal levels. I strive to combine my clinical and policy-based experience to destigmatize mental and behavioral health issues in marginalized communities, address treatment gaps, and provide accessible, affirming, and quality care to those who have been historically underserved. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor's degree from James Madison University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have a range of experience working in the private, hospital, and community based sectors. I have worked alongside a wide array of populations including children, adolescents, and adults to address ; anxiety, depression, eating disorders, childhood trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, serious mental illness, personality disorders, life transitions, gender/sexual identity, autism spectrum disorders, and more.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Sage Way offers a different way to help people with their mental health by thinking outside of traditional norms and challenging the usual ways that mental health is treated. We believe that everyone has the right to make their own choices and feel empowered in their own lives. We don't judge people for their past or present choices as we work to address the root causes of trauma, while also grounding our work in community harm repair and resilience.
