Hello, I'm Kim, and thank you for visiting SOBT Therapy, LLC’s page. If you're feeling that your coping skills no longer serve you, feeling alone, out of control, helpless, hopeless, or having trouble in your relationship, I’d love to provide support to you, your family, your partner, or your child. Together, we can work to find the root of the “problem” that is manifesting itself in the symptoms you are experiencing. I am passionate about helping people and believe in the power of a healthy counseling relationship to promote growth and happiness. As an Army veteran of over 24 years, including 21 years on active duty, I foster a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can feel free to express yourself. My background includes formal training and experience in evidence-based interventions such as Master Resilience Trainer (MRT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Play Therapy, and Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT), among others. I specialize in a wide range of areas including OCD, phobias, PTSD, intimate and romantic relationships, psychosis, schizophrenia, sex and intimacy issues, sleep disorders, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation and self-harming, trauma, traumatic brain injury, children's and adolescent mental/behavioral health, depression, anger management, anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum support, bipolar disorder, developmental disabilities, family relationships, grief and bereavement, perinatal support, eating disorders, gender identity, military and veteran support, and LGBTQIA+ support. I truly believe that everyone deserves a compassionate, empathetic therapist who can guide them through their healing journey.
