I am a Licensed Psychologist with a PhD in Psychology from Auburn University. I understand that life can be difficult and stressful at times. I use a supportive approach to assist you in finding solutions to stressors and to help change your perspective on the situation, empowering you to feel strong and capable of meeting any obstacle that comes your way. My approach I utilize supportive therapy while also engaging clients in concepts of CBT to help empower them with more effective coping skills and thought patterns. My focus I typically work with adult clients who are interested in changing their life situations and finding more effective coping skills to overcome obstacles. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. My communication style I provide a calm, supportive environment where clients can feel safe. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance to me, and I ensure a secure and confidential space for our work together. My journey to mental healthcare I have been a licensed psychologist for over 30 years. My interest in psychology began when I took a marriage and family class to better understand the dysfunctional dynamics in my own family. As a Christian, I have a strong faith and a deep desire to help people achieve the best life they can live. My goals for you I work collaboratively with clients to establish treatment goals during the first or second session so we both know the direction of therapy. I regularly reassess progress to ensure we stay on track to meet those goals. My first session with you You can expect a thorough assessment to identify the issues you are facing. You will encounter a supportive, empathetic listener who validates your situation and is committed to helping you.
