Addiction and other mental health diagnoses can impact every aspect of your life, no matter what your age or gender. It can bring feelings of failure, shame, and loss of the things most important to you. I understand the barriers that can work against you when trying to change, and I work with you to get to the root causes of these barriers. I use Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, and Client Centered methods which have proven to be effective in helping you navigate the difficult process of freeing yourself from these behaviors. I firmly believe in an individualized approach that will be effective specifically for you, not a generic one-size-fits-all approach. I have experience working with both adults and teens, providing individual and family therapy in multiple settings including inpatient and outpatient dual diagnosis treatment centers, domestic violence shelters, and juvenile detention. My qualifications include licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 2011 as well as licensure as an Addiction Counselor in 2020. I am also certified with the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) in providing psychotherapy incorporating horses. In 2008, I graduated from Pepperdine University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. My specialties include working with addiction including eating disorders, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation and/or self harm, bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD, and relationships including LGBTQIA+ support. I am here to support you through your journey, and help you get to the root of your struggles to find lasting solutions. I invite you to reach out and start this journey together.
