Getting to know Kristen Mortier
I believe in creating and fostering a safe space for collaborative exploration and growth-a space completely free of expectations or judgment. I apply a person-centered approach-warm and empathetic-while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and holistic therapeutic techniques to help clients gain insight, relief, and self-empowerment. Through building our therapeutic alliance, we will work together to focus on and positively affect your current well-being by increasing both knowledge and application of skills that assist in coping and resilience.
I hold a Master's in Clinical Counseling from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have extensive experience working with clients who have experienced trauma, including childhood abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault, and I specialize in working with LGBTQ youth and adults.
