Hi, I'm Kristen, and clients have told me that our sessions are the favorite part of their week. They leave feeling clearer and lighter than when they walked in. I didn't find this career until I was 34, but people have been telling me things they don't tell anyone else for as long as I can remember. I'm a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and some of my most meaningful work has been with young people navigating identity and orientation. My own life hasn't been easy and I think that's part of why people trust me quickly. You can sense when someone has been through hard things and come out the other side with their compassion intact.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I'm a solution-focused therapist. We'll acknowledge what happened but spend most of our time building better habits and moving you forward. I work with people of all ages starting from 3. I'm especially comfortable with kids, pre-teens, and young adults, and I love individual work where I can focus entirely on one person and their goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy with me is conversational. I let you curse if you need to, and I keep things jargon-free. You don't have to only talk about painful things either. Some of my best sessions are the ones where someone walks in with good news. If you're nervous to start, just know that my room feels more like catching up with a friend than sitting in a clinical office.
