Getting to know Kylee Romero

I enjoy working within the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as with other adults experiencing mental health symptoms. I have a background in crisis therapy, forensic psychology, community mental health, and have been in private practice for 3 years now. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hawaii Pacific University. I specialize in helping clients navigate life transitions and cope with a range of mental health needs, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress. An ideal client for me is engaged in the therapeutic process, open to learning, and willing to just be themselves. Together, we can work toward achieving a higher quality of life! I provide a client-centered, humanistic approach to therapy. I understand that seeking help can be daunting, but you are brave for doing so! My approach is laid-back, so you don't feel pressured or uncomfortable during our sessions. I take your concerns seriously while removing the power differential that can sometimes exist between client and provider. If you've had trouble finding a therapist who feels down to earth and experienced, I encourage you to reach out. I take great pride in creating a safe space for my clients and welcome feedback at all stages of the therapy process-good or bad-as it helps me grow.
