Hello, I'm Lacey. Have you ever felt so caught up in the noise of everyone else's opinions, expectations, and advice that you couldn't hear your own wisdom? Do you often end up shutting down or shouting out? Do you find yourself giving all your energy to friends, family, and loved ones, leaving none for yourself and then later feel exhausted, unimportant, or unvalued? Maybe you also feel selfish for wishing it was different or stuck believing you have to keep it up. I work with adults facing these challenges and others; together we find new ways of caring for yourself and seeing your world that can help you move onwards and upwards in life, with the energy, courage, and support to shift from barely surviving to truly thriving. Using mindfulness, CBT, and attachment-based interventions, we will walk together on your journey to heal from depression, grief, adjustment, past trauma, and more. I affirm the gender, sexual, and affectional expressions of each person I work with and trust that each individual is their own life expert. I studied counseling in order to better understand myself and my relationships, and to learn how to build healthy, supportive relationships. In fall 2020, I opened my practice with a vision of helping individuals who were used to going it alone, and struggling to find a new way. I strive to create a safe space in which individuals can identify their needs, find meaning in their experiences, and feel empowered to make changes they desire. Ultreia means onwards, and my hope is to help each of my clients find their own path onwards and upwards through life's many challenges. If you think my skills and techniques might help you find your way through whatever you've been struggling with, please call or text me; I'm here to help you find your own way to thrive.
