UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. My approach to clients and the therapeutic relationship is based on both professional and personal experience that has nurtured my ability to approach challenges and life events that bring one to counseling with compassion, practiced skill, and a unique perspective. This perspective lends itself to a genuine, authentic connection between counselor and client, which I feel is the foundation of any effective therapeutic experience. While my goal is always to meet the client where they are, my approach is based in CBT and includes specific training in trauma-focused therapy, DBT, and person-centered modalities to tailor the therapeutic experience to the needs of the client. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor's degree from Le Moyne College. On to the journey!
