Psychotherapist
3595 E Fountain Blvd, Ste 240, Colorado Springs, CO
Hi there, I'm Larry. I prefer to utilize a relaxed, approachable style to facilitate easy conversation and connection. I change therapy modalities periodically to best match your current process. I can use humor to help cut tension and set a pace for conversation that doesn't get too overwhelming. I believe that good therapy is like searching for treasure underwater—we want to go down, sift through the sand and mud, look for buried treasure, and periodically take moments to come up for air. I'm happy to meet you where you're at in your journey and help you find your way. I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) with additional training for addiction treatment. I've completed training sessions for EMDR, ACT, trauma-informed care, and many other areas to give me a well-rounded toolbox to work with. I have worked in most levels of care, from weekly therapy sessions to inpatient rehab for substance use disorders and hospitalization for suicidal thoughts and severe psychiatric distress. I've experienced working with a broad range of issues, which means I likely have some experience related to what you are going through. Whether you're dealing with trauma, anger management, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD, suicidal ideation, stress, military or veteran support, addiction, OCD, or relationship issues, I'm here to help. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel understood and supported. Let's work together to navigate your challenges and find the path to a healthier, more fulfilling life.
