What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect a therapeutic experience that is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I take the time to truly understand your story—where you’ve been, where you are, and where you hope to go. I value authenticity, and I bring that into the therapy room by creating a space where you can feel safe to show up as you are—without judgment. I approach our work together as a partnership. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to help you gain clarity, access your inner strengths, and develop effective tools to navigate life’s challenges. I focus on both the here-and-now and the deeper patterns that may be shaping your current experience. Whether we are processing past trauma, working through relational dynamics, or navigating a life transition, I will walk alongside you with empathy, consistency, and care. I bring both structure and flexibility to our sessions—grounded in evidence-based practices, but always responsive to what you need most in the moment. Ultimately, my goal is to help you feel more empowered, more connected, and more confident in living a life aligned with your values.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My work with clients begins with building a strong foundation of trust, safety, and collaboration. In the initial sessions, we focus on getting to know each other and identifying what brings you to therapy. This includes exploring your current concerns, relevant personal history, and what you’d like to accomplish through our work together. These early conversations help guide the development of a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals and values. From there, we move into deeper, ongoing work—integrating tools and strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Mindfulness, and Strengths-Based practices. I also take time to regularly check in on progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure we’re staying aligned with your evolving needs. Throughout our work, I aim to balance emotional exploration with practical tools. Sessions may include identifying patterns, processing difficult emotions, learning new coping strategies, or strengthening relationships. With couples, we’ll work through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to enhance emotional connection and improve communication. My process is always flexible, client-centered, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when clients feel supported, empowered, and truly seen.
