Getting to know Laura Tanner
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas and Colorado. I earned my bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University and my Master's in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University. My overall career goal has always been to work with cancer patients, and I am fortunate to have been doing so for the past decade. After receiving my clinical license, I explored teletherapy and quickly fell in love with this approach. I work with clients facing or surviving cancer, as well as caregivers, and those dealing with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief, and end-of-life issues. My approach varies depending on who you are as an individual and what works best for you. Therapy is not one size fits all, and I strive to leave room for what feels most authentic to you. Building a strong rapport with my clients and offering a safe, supportive environment is very important to me.
