Lauren DiGennaro, LMHC

Lauren DiGennaro, LMHC

Psychotherapist
4030 Lake Washington Blvd NE, Ste 201, Kirkland, WA
I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, as well as Certified Autoimmune Health Coach who believes that there is no separation between mental and physical health, and sees people holistically. I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology through Bastyr University where the focus is on integrative health and healing. I aim to educate my clients about the nervous system to help them understand their body, patterns, and ways of being, as I have seen that this helps develop a greater sense of empowerment and capacity for change. Overall, my approach focuses on striving to create a container of safety and comfort so that individuals feel open to express and explore different parts of themselves by allowing for moments of silliness and putting genuine human connection at the forefront. My main treatment approaches include, but are not limited to: Internal Family Systems, Somatic Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Overall, my approach focuses on striving to create a container of safety and comfort so that individuals feel open to express and explore different parts of themselves by allowing for moments of silliness and putting genuine human connection at the forefront. In addition, I see my clients holistically with my training and background coming from a naturopathic medical school where we see the mind and body as one.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our journey together will begin with a collaborative intake to understand what brings you in to therapy at this point in your life, what you're hoping for, and how I can best support you. I use a blend of treatment modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and somatic practices to help you gently connect with your inner world and re-align to yourself and the life you desire. Our work unfolds at your pace with compassion and non judgement as a foundation with some tough love along the way.
