Getting to know Lauren Prior

You are making the brave decision to face the issues, change the patterns, and break the unhealthy cycles in your life and in your family. That is an incredibly brave thing to do, but it can be scary to get started. My hope and desire is that you feel supported and empowered throughout this process. I hope to be able to provide tools, guidance, and support as you walk out your own journey of healing. I have been a counselor for 13 years and so I bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to the table. I have a very warm and empathetic approach and will act as a gentle guide while also helping you see your blind spots and gain the self-awareness and empowerment to make lasting changes in your life. I specialize in trauma and do a lot of work around childhood trauma. I am also trained in EMDR and believe it is a powerful tool in therapy. I have experience and knowledge in many other areas as well and work with clients with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and many other issues. Personally, I am of the Christian Faith and can incorporate faith-based elements when it is welcomed. However, my religious background will not hinder my ability to give quality and inclusive care to all persons. FYI- I am accepting new matches but no longer have evening availability.
