Psychotherapist
CO
Hello, I'm Leah, a dually licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Addiction Counselor. With over fifteen years of experience, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals aged 15 and older in their journey towards improved well-being. Having personally experienced therapy, I understand the anxiety and hesitation that can accompany taking that first step. No matter what challenges you are facing, I firmly believe that with the right support, there is hope, and things can get better. My therapeutic approach is centered around identifying and incorporating each person's strengths, values, culture, and identity into our work together. I tailor treatment to meet the unique needs of each individual and family I work with. My training spans various modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, the Gottman Method, narrative therapy, EMDR, internal family systems, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused family therapy. By using a systemic perspective, I support individuals and families dealing with anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, daily stress, grief and loss, substance use, family conflict, and life transitions. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, humorous, and nonjudgmental counseling environment. While counseling can sometimes be uncomfortable, leading to rewarding growth, you don't have to go through it alone. If you are willing, I can be your advocate, helping you to find joy in the journey. Let's take this step together.
