Getting to know Leon Feldman
There is something very powerful about being heard and seen. New ideas, or previously concealed reservoirs of feeling can open up and lead us to make different choices, see things and people differently, feel more fully alive.
My background is in the creative arts and I truly enjoy learning about my patients' lives. I believe in the power of collaborative listening, and in letting the multiple strands of your story emerge in a comfortable, safe, consistent and supportive space. Through supportive, insight-oriented therapy, I can help you process feelings of anxiety, depression, grief and a sense of being overwhelmed.
I went back to school at age 59, became a social worker, and now, seven years later I have a thriving psychotherapy practice. I see individuals and couples. I know how difficult change can be, but I also know it’s possible.
I am a psychoanalytically oriented therapist, which means I offer supportive, insight-oriented therapy. Please feel free to reach out to me. I look forward to speaking with you soon!
What should a new client know about working with you?
This is a cash pay only practice.
I was trained with a relational approach to psychoanalytic psychotherapy. This means that I acknowledge that there are two of us in the room, and although the focus is always on the patient, sometimes it can be useful to bring in thoughts and share my own experiences if I feel it can be useful.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance

Ongoing session: $270 for 50 minutes
