I believe in collaboratively working with clients as we both move toward our goals. My approach My therapeutic approach is truly eclectic. I find that Psychodynamic and Family Systems approaches help clients understand the root causes of their issues, while Cognitive-Behavioral interventions offer necessary thought and behavioral skills to better manage life. My focus In my office, I engage children, adolescents, and adults in therapies and evaluations; however, I find the virtual environment more suitable for adults and older teenagers seeking psychotherapy. My communication style I aim to create an accepting environment where one can take risks to reveal important information about healing. My journey to mental healthcare I am a proud member of the Hampton University class of 1990, where I earned a B.A. degree in Psychology. In 1995, I earned my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology, a consortium among The College of William and Mary, Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk State University, and Old Dominion University. Since then, I've held several clinical positions, but my goal was always to open a private practice, which I did in 1997. It is the joy of my life to assist people in becoming better versions of themselves. My goals for you Goals must be approached collaboratively.
