Getting to know Leslie Sandy
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Minnesota. I identify as a trauma informed therapist with a background in both mental health and substance use disorder treatment. I have spent my career, over twenty years, in various fields working with adults who experience emotional and/or behavioral concerns. I find this work has been intriguing and fulfilling. As a therapist, I make it my goal to assist clients in meeting their life goals. My approaches include but are not limited to: being my authentic self and modeling and encouraging this for clients. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Anger/Emotions Management, Moral Recognition Therapy (MRT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). All of my services are provided via telehealth to clients residing in Minnesota.
