Getting to know Leslie Seligman
I am a licensed psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience. I hold a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University and have completed advanced training in Psychoanalysis at the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis. I work with people who are struggling with a variety of problems, including anxiety, depression, low self-worth, relational difficulties, and trauma. I also treat individuals who want to get to know themselves better. If you and I decide to work together, I will get to know you through careful and active listening, adding humor when useful to our dialogue. Talking about your difficulties, speaking aloud what may be challenging to say?this is how you can feel more open to new possibilities.
What should a new client know about working with you?
What happens between you and me in the consulting room will be unique. I will listen carefully as you talk about your difficulties, wishes, fears and hopes. Whatever is important and meaningful to you matters in your psychotherapy, and therefore matters to me. I will guild you through this process. Overtime talk therapy can bring the clarity of insight as well as relief from suffering.

I am in network with United Health Care. I also work out of network with most insurance companies. For out of network, I will give you a super bill and you will send it to your insurance company for reimbursement. Ask your insurance company of they reimburse for out of network mental health. Ask if you have a deductible and what percentage they will cover for 90837 . Some insurance companies cover 80% of mental health.

I am so glad that I found Leslie! From day one, she has created a safe space where I felt understood, validated, and supported. She brings tremendous empathy and patience into our sessions, helping me to slow down and be curious about my own mind, rather than judging it. Working together has helped me to gain invaluable insights into my thought patterns and behaviors. Going to therapy has been so impactful in my life, and I will be forever grateful for the work we've done together.
