Getting to know Leslie Way

Hello, I'm Leslie. After receiving my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education from the University of Colorado at Denver in 1996, I've had the pleasure of working in a variety of mental health settings. With over 20 years of experience, I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and a Licensed Colorado School Counselor. In these roles, I've been fortunate to help people of all ages navigate the stumbling blocks in their lives. In therapy, I place a strong emphasis on your strengths, focusing on behavior modification to reach practical solutions. My primary objective is to support you through life changes and help you achieve the goals you’ve set for yourself. I find that Internal Family Systems (IFS) work is particularly effective in helping clients connect with the parts of themselves that may be holding them back from making the changes they seek. My clinical approaches include Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These methods allow me to tailor our sessions to best meet your unique needs and circumstances. I specialize in working with issues such as depression, stress, life transitions, anger management, children's mental and behavioral health, family relationships, grief and bereavement, intimate and romantic relationships, anxiety, trauma, ADHD and bipolar disorder. I strive to support and encourage all ages of Women, Men and LGBTQIA+ community members.
