Lida is also the Project Manager for Psychedelic Symposium, a New York City–based grassroots advocacy and production collective founded by social workers with the goal of uniting like-minded psychedelic professionals and scholars in community and solidarity.

Lida has experience working with immigrants, children and families. They utilize both their own life experience and extensive sexology research to support their work with adult clients on dating, relating, gender and sexual identity. As a queer, kinky, non-binary Belarussian, Lida deeply values inclusivity and is committed to providing care for people who have historically been excluded by mental health professionals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Lida Rubanava, LMSW takes an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing upon various aspects of cognitive-behavioral, somatic, and psychodynamic methods to create their own custom-made approach for every client’s unique positionality and life circumstances.
