My name is Lienfon Chi, though I tell everyone to call me Lien, pronounced like alien without the a. In my practice, I combine compassion, creativity, and humor to foster healthy relationships with my clients. My therapeutic focus is on helping clients understand how to better our lives by focusing on the things we can control. I believe my purpose is to empower clients to become their own counselors. Though I was born in Taiwan and grew up speaking Chinese, I now call Austin, Texas home. I moved to the United States at the age of ten, getting my Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Texas in 2019. Growing up between Western and Eastern cultures, I saw the harm caused by unrealistic expectations in both, which inspired me to pursue a career in mental health. In 2023, I earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In my free-time, I enjoy video games, anime, Sci-Fi, rock climbing, taking care of koi fish and spending time with my partner.
