*After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ so you can complete required intake forms prior to your appointment* The provider is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. I’m a licensed master social worker (LMSW) with a Master of Social Work from New York University. I provide therapy for adults navigating challenges like depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, stress, and interpersonal difficulties. My approach is grounded in evidence-based care, drawing from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness. In previous work at a community mental health clinic, I had the privilege of supporting individuals across all life stages, from children to older adults. Some of my most meaningful moments came from witnessing clients grow in ways both big and small: finishing school, building stronger relationships, gaining emotional insight, and reconnecting with a sense of self-worth. As an Asian-American therapist, I care deeply about making mental health care more accessible and inclusive. I’ve seen how stigma and systemic barriers keep people from getting support, especially in marginalized communities. My goal is to be a bridge, to create a space where people feel seen, safe, and empowered to show up fully as themselves.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I want you to feel like you can show up just as you are. Whether you’re feeling anxious, disconnected, grieving, or unsure of where to begin, you won’t be met with judgment or pressure. I’ll meet you in whatever space you’re in, with care and curiosity. My style is relational and person-centered. That means I don’t come in with a fixed agenda. I work with you to understand your values, goals, and needs. I’ll bring my full self to our sessions, offering compassion, insight, and sometimes gentle challenge, so that our relationship becomes a steady place for reflection and growth. Therapy should feel collaborative, not clinical. I use ACT to help patients reconnect with what matters most to them, CBT to explore how thoughts and behaviors influence emotions, and psychodynamic therapy to make sense of patterns shaped by past experiences. When helpful, I’ll also incorporate mindfulness techniques to build awareness and grounding. My priority is to make sure the therapy space feels right for you. We’ll move at your pace, and we’ll check in regularly to make sure we’re moving in a direction that feels meaningful.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We'll begin with a conversation, one where you don't need to have the "right words" or a fully formed story. I'll ask about what brings you in, what you're hoping for, and what's been weighing on you. From there, we'll start to make sense of the patterns that show up internally in your relationships or in how you navigate the world. Our work together will blend insight with action. Sometimes that means slowing down and understanding where your thoughts or feelings are coming from. Other times, it means practicing new skills, like learning to set boundaries, sit with uncertainty, or approach difficult emotions with more flexibility. I'll offer structure when needed and space when it's called for. If you're dealing with anxiety, we might focus on helping you feel more grounded and in control of your thoughts and body. If you're carrying grief, we'll hold space for your loss without rushing you to "move on." If you're healing from trauma, we'll work to create safety and reconnect you to your strengths. You don't need to have it all figured out to start therapy. We'll begin wherever you are, and take it one step at a time.
