Getting to know Linda Sanchez

Perhaps you have come to a point in your life where you find yourself wanting to change something and are looking for an alternate path or desire a different reality than the one you are currently existing in. I can assist you in your transformation through evidence-based therapeutic techniques like Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) , Motivational Interviewing, and the Humanistic approach. I am comfortable working with all age groups, and have experience with most Diagnosis, including Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma. I started out my career as a high school teacher at Escuela Tlatelolco in Denver, Colorado. A school that was born out of the Civil Rights Movement, brought to life by parents who recognized that their children needed to learn more of their own history in a system that supported them and empowered them. Through the lens of social justice, grass roots organization, activism, and education I found my true passion for serving others as a counselor, first as a school counselor and later as a Crisis counselor on a crisis team. I attended Metropolitan State College of Denver for my undergraduate degree and teaching certificate. I earned two Master’s Degrees, one in Education from Regis University, and one in School Counseling from Adam’s State University. I love learning new things, and enjoy spending time with family and friends, and hiking with my dogs.
