Getting to know Linda Woosley

My name is Lindie Woosley and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addiction Counselor. I have been working in the field of social work since 2018, when I earned my Master of Social Work from Indiana University. I began my career working in community mental health, serving clients with substance use disorders. My experience includes providing treatment at the inpatient and intensive outpatient levels. I then worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs for three years where I furthered my practice with SUD treatment and also gained experience in treating PTSD. I am trained in CPT and EMDR for treating trauma. I am also skilled in using Motivational Interviewing and CBT for treating substance use, as well as DBT and ACT for treating mental health concerns. As a therapist, I believe in making therapy approachable and collaborating with you to figure out what our work will look like together. I see my role as being a neutral observer who can help give perspective or point out things that you may not be able to see by yourself. I believe that while we cannot control what has happened to us, we can control how we move forward. I chose this profession because I want to help people heal.
